Best Restaurants Open for Christmas Dinner this year in Williamsport – 2024

This afternoon, I paid a visit to this restaurant for a late lunch. Upon arrival, I noticed that the venue was largely unoccupied, with only one other table filled. My dining companion and I selected a cozy corner booth and began perusing the menus provided by our server. I decided on a Reuben sandwich paired with a side of French onion soup. Conversely, my husband chose a half dozen wings and an appetizer called pork sliders. Our food was served in a prompt manner. The French onion soup was hot and flavorful, boasting a rich flavor and a generous helping of melted cheese. The Reuben was equally tasty, featuring an abundance of corned beef and tangy sauerkraut. While my husband's wings were enjoyable, the true standout of his meal was the pork sliders. These consisted of four sliders filled with pulled pork, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and topped with a cherry cranberry compote. Although this combination may seem unusual, the flavors melded together surprisingly well. Throughout our meal, our server provided attentive and friendly service, and the restaurant maintained a clean and welcoming atmosphere. We are already anticipating our next visit.

Update: 4-24 posted latest menu. The menu has changed quite a bit but still has some decent vegetarian and meat options. Food was good: swordfish dinner, cheeseburger, and gruyere cheese and veggie sandwich. Bonus is to go when the jazz group is playing. Update 2-23 Breakfast is very good. Omelettes are large with plenty of fillings. The pancake is huge but very nicely done. Can soon fruit fire the starches on the side. Update 12-22: Mahi mahi dinner is a little bland but the piece of fish is quite small, I'd estimate less than 1/3 lb. If you have a big appetite, don't get it. The chickpeas with tofu dinner was reportedly excellent! Update 10-21 The newly renovated indoor restaurant has opened. It is completely different from before. It is much brighter with more windows. The bar is as you walk in and much sleeker. Nicely decorated. Food is basically as it was outside in the summer for lunch. Haven't been for dinner. Update 6- 2021: Outdoor seating from about April through mid-October is quite nice. They've added some large converted areas for hot days and have some heaters for child evenings Lunch choices are quite good-- falafel and sweet potato fries. From a while ago: Choices are ok but the kitchen is inconsistent. Individual pizzas are good but very salty. Shrimp quesadilla is fine. Mahi mahi is good.

WOW! We were looking for a place to eat after seeing the abandoned bunkers. We checked in, and the concierge told me about the restaurant located in the hotel. We ordered the Brussel appetizer and the burger with sweet fries. Both were delicious. The sprouts were so tasty. I usually don't eat them. The patty on the burger was cooked just right. No pink, not dry, & not greasy. I would give them a 100..... complements to the chef. Our waitress Kayla was sweet and paid attention to the details. Thank you for your kindness. All the staff is wonderful and amazing.

I've been here a handful of times, a good place for a meal. It's a little more on the expensive side, and people like to look their best. I have ordered the fettuccine Alfredo multiple times, with broccoli added, and it has always been delicious. Also the peppers and bread they give you are amazing.

We went there to celebrate a birthday. A nice quiet dinner. Or, at least, we thought that's where our Uber driver was going to drop us off. Turns out, we got dropped off at Morrone's Pub instead of the Cafe [same owner]. We ended up going into the door we were dropped off in front of - much to the surprise of the kitchen staff. Then we were informed that they weren't even open yet. Once the lovely man figured out that we were at the entirely wrong place, he took the time to drive us to the Cafe. SO nice! [Thank you, John C.!] The two establishments are about a half a mile away. Once at the Cafe, we had Kayla as our waitress and SHE WAS WONDERFUL! The food was out of this world. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh. The grated Romano cheese literally MELTED in your mouth. Melted! Phenomenal. I highly recommend the alfredo sauce. This place is clearly run by people that take their business and cooking very seriously. You can taste the passion. You should definitely give it a shot - and then after, head to Morrone's Pub down the street.

We spent 2 hours there, food was not good, price was not good...$14 for a drink, salad don't come with meal, it's separate, Meatballs are small n cost $3 each n they charged us $7 to use our debit card! Needless to say never again!

I thought my waitress was really nice. She was really educated on gluten-free to make sure that I did not eat something that I was allergic to. I will say though that this is not the best Pad Thai I've ever had. It was pretty okay but it was definitely not something that I'd order again. The vegetables were a little weird. Other than that the edamame was cooked perfectly and I couldn't say anything bad about my experience overall. I most likely would come back here and try something else on the menu. I do love that they use cardboard instead of Styrofoam take out boxes.

I've been going to Joy Thai for years and have always loved their food. They are kind about removing items to make dishes vegan, and I love that. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. I love ordering from Joy Thai.

We ate at Joy Thai last Evening for the first time in a while. Our food and service had not been good the time before but we decided to give them another try. So glad we did! Our food was delicious! We ordered the fruity shrimp appetizer, drunken noodle and Siam Mango Curry. Everything was yummy and the service was excellent! Will definitely be eating here again!

Did I really just spend $15 on an appetizer that literally just barely covered the bottom of the box? OR did my door dasher help himself on the way here???? It’s only an appetizer but seriously? I’ve never seen a $15 calamari that was so disgraceful. It’s sad I was really looking forward to eating from here. You took 42$ outta my account and my ticket says 31$???? My apologies to Stonehouse. I wouldn’t suggest using DoorDash AT ALL! Again my apologies.

The best pizza and chicken parm we’ve ever had. Waitress was wonderful. Good prices. Nice atmosphere. Would go here daily if we weren’t 3 hours away!

Traveling through and stopped for lunch. It was pretty early so not busy. We were seated quickly, food was served piping hot, pizza was super thin, so good! Green beans were real good too! I would definitely eat here again.

This place was great! We are on our way to Bills Old Bike Barn and needed some lunch and decided to stop at Harvest Moon. I got the meat lovers scrambler, my daughter got the build your own pancake and our waitress brought all the toppings for her. my son got the Oreo stuffed French toast and loved it. My boyfriend got the 8 oz black diamond breakfast and it was amazing. The steak was perfect! So good. The service was awesome as well :)and we got the crab tater tots as an entree and those were so yummy. We definitely got too much to eat. the ONLY thing that I could say is that an ant got into their chocolate chip container or something because my boyfriend ate a dead one with the chocolate chip he plucked from the toppings for my daughters pancakes. If it was a cockroach or something I’d be more grossed out but an ant is understandable lol. All in all it was a cute stop on our little weekend trip and we would stop again if we come back out here again :) we spent around $89 including the tip for 4 people.

Passing through the area and always looking for Mom & Pop shops. Excellent food, large portions, served hot. Ordered 2 apps - perogies and crab tots - black diamond breakfast and the Flying Pig sandwich. Everything was hot and well prepared. Delicious!

This is your quintessential hometown diner. It seems everyone knows someone. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. The only issue is we don't live closer. I'm happy to go out of my way for The Boss, though.

Last night was my first visit, and I was pleasantly surprised. My date loves calamari, so we got that for the table. Unfortunately, that was lackluster due to flavor, texture and portion size. After the calamari, we were served focaccia with olive oil. It was delicious, I’d have eaten that over the calamari. Dinner and drinks were amazing. I had the Strawberry LI and it definitely tasted of fresh fruit. I enjoyed the prime rib entree, replacing the house potatoes with the creamy orzo side dish. I loved everything. The beef and the zucchini were both grilled to perfection. Our server, Devon, was terrific. She was kind, attentive, and thorough. She made sure we felt welcome and knew of the evening’s specials. I will definitely come back here on my next visit to Williamsport.

Met a group here for drinks and appetizers after work one day. They have a nice cocktail menu with a variety of options (sweet, stiff, classic, unusual). Of the appetizers that we ordered, the fried goat cheese was an absolute standout. Service was prompt and attentive, and prices were reasonable.

The service was impeccable the dish that I had was the penne pasta with lobster claw meat in an asiago cream sauce I could have taken a bath in it, it was really good the fried calamari with fried rock shrimp for an appetizer was a great way to start that meal. Lydia my waitress was one of the best waitresses I've had in a long time and I eat out a lot way to go Lydia. I will, definitely go back and try something else thank you.

Our Food came out HOT and DELICIOUS! THE CAJUN FRIES WERE THE BOMB and the FLOUNDER WAS AMAZING AS WELL. WE FIINISHED IT OFF WITH A SIDE OF CARROT CAKE. Sampson the owner was pleasant to meet and their food was OUTTA SIGHT... We're definitely coming back for more entrees or breakfast...

Placed an order through Uber Eats that never arrived. On the app I watched 3 different drivers go to the restaurant to pick up the order but it never got delivered it just kept saying in progress. Finally 5 minutes before they closed the 3rd driver finally messaged to tell me she tried to pick it up but the owner told her it was already picked up and delivered. $75 and never got a thing

My husband ordered food from this establishment via Uber Eats and I got to sample a few things. I’m looking forward to trying the offerings another time when I order my own separate entree. …tried the Jerk Chicken with yellow rice and tasty collard greens… Hubby thought Mac& cheese was good…

This is my wife’s favorite place to eat. We went here on a date tonight. The service was excellent and so was the food. Great portions and very reasonable pricing. Very good service. Highly recommend you have a reservation on Friday night. A Williamsport classic with excellent food and a great friendly atmosphere.

Sauce too watery. Chicken on salad had no flavor. Atmosphere is a little drab. Service was good for the most part. Probably wouldn't go back.

Iconic cafe located in Williamsport specializes in steak, hamburgers and Italian fare. The food lacks distinctive flavor and the portions on the small size. Salads are non distinctive. Crowd is older.

Food was great! I had the steak and chicken fajitas hot&fresh,portions were fair size. Queso was plentiful. Would come back.

This place doesn’t disappoint. Everything from the rustic atmosphere and the accommodating owners and staff, to some of the most delicious Mexican dishes we’ve found in some time. Their authentic cooking style is brought to fruition with a unique range of menu items made from scratch to that will appeal to almost anyone and leave you wanting more. Amazing quality and fairly priced. Will be back again and again.

I have to say since my dad passed away a few years ago then moving to williamsport I been wanting real Spanish food and this was it.. so home cook and I appreciate them. Can't wait to dine in

I went in expecting an English pub and was surprised with what I found! It is more of an English pub with an American twist... You won't find malt vinegar or HP Sauce on the tables, and the chips on the menu aren't chunky chips, they're lovely thick-cut homemade potato crisps. I recommend giving them a go. In general, flavor profiles are not what you'll find in England, such as a nice fennel sausage in your sausage roll. Speaking of sausage rolls and no brown sauce, the dish is served with petal sauce (ketchup, mayo, garlic), which was new for me! The food is good quality and nicely prepared and presented. Admittedly, it's a bit on the pricey side. The staff are super friendly and easy to chat with. Our glasses are kept full, and we were given just the right level of attention.

My son, daughter-in-law, and I went for Sunday Brunch. The menu had a sizable selection of English Breakfast fare. The server was helpful and pleasant. And the food was prepared well and delicious. Just a note - I ordered hot tea and many places bring you a box with a selection of different teas plus extra hot water in order to enjoy a second cup (Most tea bags are designed to have a second serving) I WAS asked what type of tea but not able to make my own selection and also was not given extra water. I know it seems like a small detail but when paying $3 for one tea bag the details are what turns a good experience into a delightful one.

Had brunch there today with delicious hash, English 2nd breakfast, and the Benedict a la Goose which included fried pig ear. Let me tell you, it was all SO good! Not to mention I had the the most amazing espresso martini I’ve ever had! Great service, incredible food, and a great birthday experience!
