Went for clams but I didn’t get them because I thought they were overly priced. I ordered the petite filet mignon medium-rare and the sweet potato fries. The filet mignon was outstanding and melted in my mouth. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had anywhere! My side salad was good and the raspberry vinaigrette was amazing.
Great food and service. Loved the atmosphere. Surprisingly modest cost. ~$100 for four. That includes 5 drinks (2 whiskeys, 2 beers and 1 Guinness. Salads were large and fresh. I had the fish and chips. It was great. Friendly staff.
We've always had a great experience here but last night exceeded our expectations. We had raw oysters followed by the steamed seafood sampler. Everything was just as it should be. Micheal made our experience even better with great service and conversation. They had a surprising selection of beers. Can't wait to come back!

The drinks are superbly made! The food was okay, the chef overcooked most of our steaks at our table. I would visit again, especially if they have a HH. Cake was good.
We showed up without a reservation which was a mistake on our part. Judy graciously found room for us. Our server, Shannon, was incredible and the food was DELICIOUS.
Ugh! Just so annoyed at the nickel and dime charges. A charge for sharing a plate ( not us but a couple in our group), a charge to split the check!!!!!! And the worst a 3% charge to use my credit card!! For a restaurant that is considered fine dining these charges are just classless. The food is good but nothing that makes me want to put up with all of these ridiculous charges. Won’t be back any time soon.

Great customer service. The Bartender Amy was so pleasant, very attentive. And the bartender Tina created a killer drink on the menu called the Gin around the Rosie! It was so delicious, a great balance of gin, rose syrup with a touch of strawberry ! Thank you ladies! I’ll be back.
What a brilliant choice for dinner before the Lindsey Stirling live performance at the Santander Arena across the street! The food and service was excellent!!Pear and Roasted Beet Salad, Alabama short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes, loaded nachos with roasted chicken, and Broaster chicken wings with choice of sauces! Our waiter even wrapped up our leftovers and kept them refrigerated while we skipped on over to the Santander! Also bonus was free parking during dinner and the event! Nice intimate atmosphere, quiet, nice crowd. Good selection of everything (we didn’t get to the desserts but they looked great, too!). Easy access through the Doubletree Hilton lobby.
This place was nice. We started with nachos and I must say it was a big serving size! I went on to order their wings and fries. I am glad they place the sauce on the side because their wings are really delicious on their own. The fries were really good as well and they are not greedy in terms of how much they give. It was plenty. Also, don't get me started on the dessert we ordered...just perfection. Overall, the service was fast and everyone was kind.

I must say the food is AMAZING! The passion fruit margarita was on point a great balance with the mix and alcohol. The Pastellios was fresh, hot and delicious we tried all 3 and was not disappointed at all the shrimp was my favorite, the chicken steak and shrimp fajitas was amazing. Excellent flavor the beans and rice was good. Love the simple salad. My husband had fried pork with Mofongo. It was delicious as well. The food here is authentic. The service was great. Definitely will be back again.
A friend and I visited Rio Cafe for the first time on Thursday for lunch. The atmosphere was good. We had a limited time due to work and service was slow. Our waitress had difficulty understanding us because of a language barrier. (She didn't seem to speak or understand English very well). I ordered a chicken quesadilla. Although it took about 25 minutes to receive our food, we were pleased with the portion sizes and the taste and quality of the food. The price was quite reasonable. $14 and I tipped 20% on my card. Fast forward to today, and I am doing my online banking and notice a large discrepancy between what my total bill was including tip and what was actually charged to me. The waitress apparently added a $12.00 tip in my $14.00 lunch! I was taken aback and tried to rectify it by calling and unfortunately spoke (or attempted to speak) to the same server who apparently added quite a bit of tip. She hung up on me and I was unable to speak to the manager or owner. I would sincerely appreciate speaking to someone regarding this. I am extremely disappointed and do not plan to return.
This place was a big disappointment yellow rice and beans ordered waitress comes back no yellow rice and no beans do not have none so I asked for white rice. She goes to the kitchen no white rice neither so I ate my red snapper with french fries and it was very very disgusting. It was supposed to be a red snapper and it taste like Susquehanna River tilapia. Wife ordered lobster and shrimp and sauce with rice and beans come back no rice and beans no lobster just shrimp and sauce. With Plantains OK. we got two beef shish kebabs looks like they were made with mini steaks horrible horrible food. Not approved pictures look great we travel to it and got burnt bad. Any thing that was on the menu waitress had to go to the kitchen and check if they made it. Are they gonna make it or if they even have it? Bad business not worth the travel. You’re better off eating at a hot dog cart. How can you advertise and not have it or even display on the menu and not have it insane. Five thumbs down bad choke and puke.

Been going to Marvel Ranch with my dad since I was 18. The food is excellent, the people, excellent, the prices most excellent. They're my favorite locally kept secret. Barack Obama has eaten there, and thier business put one of thier waitresses through Law School. The owner (very nice) retired, but still works in the kitchen. It's real food. Real ingredients. Delicious. Sometimes messy. Always affordable. So stop on by, right on fourth and Penn St. And if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please. Accept Christ. He is the ultimate joy and purpose of all humanity. God bless you. And please. Grab some lunch and tell them Josh sent you. Until then!
Some good day, some bad day but 100% always reliable. A cheap warm breakfast spot with smiles and easy meals. Definitely a bang for your buck. No wonder they've been in business since 1959.
This place has completely fell off!! I didn't even want to give them one star. Don't know who's in that kitchen but my beef sausage were so burnt I couldn't eat it, my eggs were over cooked and the home fries were dry and burned. Will NEVER order from this dump again!

First time experience at this location and I'll definitely be going back when craving something a bit different. Everything was well prepared and tasty and also liked having the jugo de parcha to wash down the meal.
Everything tasted fresh and the ceviche was amazing!!! Customer service was great!! Will come to reading again just to come here !!
The pork bites were tender and juicy with a pristine level spices. I highly recommend the pork bites. We arrived at 4, which was perfect. By 5:30, the place was packed. The atmosphere was average, but the wait staff who spoke primarily Spanish was very accommodating (no one at my table spoke Spanish), provided excellent service. Our waitress, Gladys, was incredibly kind and patient. Overall, an impressive experience. We will be going back if we're ever in Reading. If you're looking for authentic Puerto Rican fare, Mofongo is the place to go.

We were in town for a concert at Santander, and we went to the Pike Cafe for dinner first. Plenty of parking, easy to find in downtown Reading. It has a sports bar vibe, lots of tvs everywhere. The atmosphere was casual and family friendly. The food was good. Get the skillet brownie sundae to top off your dinner so yummy!!! Service was top notch. Really friendly. Looked like a fun place to hang out, but we didn't have time.
The food was great overall. Had the Berks BBQ burger and that was fantastic, cooked perfectly, and very good flavor. Also, I got the wings, they were very good, crispy and flavorful, my only issue with them, are these wings are small, like the size of your thumb or pinky, which is disappointing. They have a nice parking lot beside the place, inside had a full bar, TVs, nice seating area. The staff was very nice and helpful and inside was clean and tidy. Overall, it was a great place to visit and have a great menu, with options for all.
The Pike is not only one of the best places in reading to get good food but also has the best and most patient waiters/waitresses. We frequent this place and are almost NEVER disappointed by our food or experience. Tonight was a complete “our bad” situation. My fiancé and I came to have a little night out with some good food. We enjoyed our food and the waiter brought us our check. Which, is when we both discovered neither of us had brought our wallets. Frantic, we’re doing everything we can think of, calling our banks, trying to set up our wallets on our phones, trying to see if they accept certain paying apps (which they do, there was definitely some confusion on our parts) being anxious and a bit frustrated by each other, we were all over the place. The waiters, being so patient, we’re trying to help us come up with some ideas. Ultimately our waiter, Jason (I believe), let us send him money to pay for our bill. The experience was a bit embarrassing for us but they handled it with dignity, they deserve a lot of credit!! They were truly amazing. Will absolutely be going back again (with my wallet!!) and some friends! Thanks for being supportive guys, we appreciated it!!

Good atmosphere, good food and excellent employee service.
The Brick House is charming and unexpected. It's one of those places that seems like it shouldn't exist (in that location). An odd spot but very cozy. The house it resides in has been expertly converted. I got the wings which are very good. Personally I prefer smaller wings which is what they serve. Overall I have to recommend this as must-try for the area but it's not a place I would frequent, personally.
The food isn’t cheap, but it was very tasty and a great atmosphere. The service was great and everyone was extremely friendly.

Hello first time I write a review because it’s was such a discusting experience while eating a mofongo you find hairs it was small nose hair it literally took my appetite away immediately zoom in so you can see the hair, the waiter could only apologize and still charge it on the bill However as a Latina we need to do better with food prep in kitchen and way better Food experience……
I came to Jet Set to see an artist, Kinito Mendez. I just moved to the area so I was excited to see a Dominican artist in a small town. AMBIANCE: The front of the restaurant is pretty normal, they have a good amount of seating and a bar to sit at. You would never know there is a huge event hall attached in the back. The event hall is humongous, it has 2 bars available even though 1 was open for this night. Definitely a good place to have an event and not be too crowded. They had plenty of tables available and it didn’t get too hot. SERVICE: We were met right away by a waitress who explained how the tables were working and led us to one. She was pretty attentive the entire night and answered all of my questions as this was my first time here. FOOD & DRINK: I throughly enjoyed the plate of picadera we got. We ordered the size for one person to share and it was plenty for 2 people. It came hot and fresh and was delicious. The drinks on the other hand were disappointing. The drinks were $12 each which I assume is up charged because there’s a performance. I would assume for $12 I’m getting a nicely sized drink in a glass and it tastes good. We ordered 2 mojitos which you could tell was pre made in a big jar and just poured out. There wasn’t any muddled mint or lime in the cup. It just tasted like lime sprite. I was really disappointed in that. They were also charging $165 for a bottle for the table which I thought was a bit much. So I know for next time to pregame at the house before going out there. PERFORMANCE: Kinito was great. I had so much fun! He came out at a good time, maybe 8PM and the event started at 6PM. I left after his first set so around 9:30PM. I’m assuming he had a second set since the event said it ended at 12AM but it was a Sunday night so I didn’t want to stay too late. He was an amazing performer.

Tried their Beef & Cheese Empanada and the Chicken Empanada. Beef & Cheese was the clear winner. Juicy and flavorful with no need for the hot sauce. Generous amount of filling. The crust or tapa was excellent. The Chicken was a little dryer and not as flavorful but still good with the (mild) hot sauce. I’ll definitely be back for the Beef & Cheese.
best mocha, pancakes, and oatmeal i think i've ever had. if you want an authentic culinary experience and keep it in the budget, then visit mi casa su casa! also, if you're a racc student i highly suggest you visit.
Thank you for being so welcoming to all of us on Saturday Oct 26. So grateful for the hospitality, great food and warmth.
